Academy for Christ,
Brits

The construction of the clubhouse floor for the pavilion at Academy for Christ, Brits, presented significant challenges. The slab was located 9 meters in the air on a steel beam structure, demanding a solution that prioritized worker safety, required minimal on-site resources, and could be executed by a team with minimum skilled labour.

The Speedfloor suspended concrete flooring system was the perfect, multifaceted solution for this elevated and challenging project.

Core Product Benefits Highlighted:

  1. Enhanced Safety via Non-Propping: The non-propping nature of the Speedfloor system was critical for safety and efficiency. It eliminated the need for complex, tall scaffolding or temporary propping structures extending 9 meters to the ground, significantly reducing risk and simplifying the work environment below the slab.

  2. Minimal Labour Skill Requirement: Speedfloor's straightforward component installation, which integrates directly onto the steel beam structure, allowed the project to proceed efficiently with limited resources and minimal specialist labour. The simplicity of the system minimized errors and accelerated the construction timeline.

  3. Lightweight and Easy Handling: The lightweight nature of the Speedfloor components made them much easier and safer to lift and install at the 9-meter height compared to heavier, bulkier conventional formwork and concrete materials.

This project is a strong testament to Speedfloor's ability to provide a safe, quick, and structurally sound concrete floor solution for complex, elevated steel structures, particularly when site resources and labour skill are constrained.
